CONTEST ENDED:
Congrats to Nate!  He chose the Hydrapak Soquel!  Thanks for reading.

Last week I wrote about my trip to Park City Utah where I goosed a moose on the Mid Mountain Trail, ran into pro rider and PC resident Evan Hyde, and at the end of a four hour ride, stuffed an entire six pack of Full Sail Ale in my Hydrapak Morro at the state liquor store and rode back to our condo.  Hydrapak liked it so much, they picked up the story on their blog AND offered up a chance for you to win a Hydrapak for your next adventure.  Sa-weet corn!

To win: Click, Choose and Comment

2) CHOOSE a model you’d like to take on your next adventure

3) COMMENT!  Come back to this post and leave a comment explaining the Hydrapak model you chose and why.  Of course, creativity is always encouraged.  However, we’ll draw a random winner from all the comment entries to win a Hydrapak.

Fine Print: Deadline for entries is Midnight October 12th, 2011.  Anonymous comments will not be considered.  It's not a rule, but to help us get in touch with you if you were to win, please try to link an email address to the profile you choose to enter with.  Winner will be drawn and contacted October 13th, 2011.  Winner will be announced October 14th, 2011 both here and on our Facebook page.  Click here to like us, especially if you don't link an email to your comment profile.  Good luck and thanks for reading The Best Bike Blog EVER!

Soquel - the perfect pak for hitting the trail.... Plus it matches my bike :)

I'd go for the Soquel, small, but with enough for a little food, etc.

I'm torn between the Selva and the Reyes. The Reyes may be too big for my normal riding, but comes in a nice lime/charcol colorway that would be all matchey-matchey to our new team kits. And you never know when you might need to carry more stuff.

The Selva does not come in the same colorway, but looks to be almost perfect otherwise. So if I had to choose one it would probably be the Selva. No, the Reyes. No, Selva wins. Yes, Reyes it is. Ah, hell, if I win I will flip a coin.

If colourwheys are so significant I would not be able to choose. None would match my neon pupple / orange glitter "rig" I'm "rollin'" these days. I suppose if my dern cousin snagged my fanny pack again I would at least take something big enough to fit my extra pair of skinny jeans, checkerboard slipons, and moustache trimmers. If the ride was going to be ep-ick I would want to make sure the bag was tornado resistant and hurricane proof (didn't see that in any of the descriptions). Anything less and I suppose I could borrow someone's purse which would likely do the job fine, just fine.

Do any of them have designated quick access embro pockets?

Oh... and for SEO purposes:
Big Sur
Laguna
Morro

The Laguna looks right up my alley for two reasons. As a bike commuter this pack would afford plenty of room for clothes and food for my trip to work — and a lot of hydration for those commutes when the heat index is over 100 degrees.

Secondly, this pack would be perfect for a multi-day adventure on a mountain bike. I've dreamt of tackling a ride like the 500s mile trail Denver to Durango on the Colorado trail. With this pack perhaps my wildest dreams will come true!

The Selva looks great to me! I am a serious sweater so having a large reservoir like this (rather than carrying a bottle - or many bottles on the bike) would be AWESOME for long runs and long rides!

I have an old Hydrapak road model I've been happily using for years so if I got to choose, I'd go for the Morro.

Why? Because what started as two guys ribbing each other about how cool the Great Divide ride would be is turning into "Oh crap! I've backed myself into it now!" And the Morro would be the way to go it seems.

I'd have to go with the Soquel... it matches the kit... Enough said!

I have never wanted to win something so bad in my life. I have asked Santa each year for a new Hydrapak, he has repeatedly let me down each Christmas morning. I need this Hydrapak because I will be going Pro and soon racing with the radioshack cycling team, I will proudly wear it in the TDF and Giro and Vuelta over my team jersey. When I go and win Leadville and the entire NUE series next year, it will come in handy to fuel my wins and provide a easily refillable storage space for all my fast drink mix. I can also store spare tubes, a multi tool, a tire lever or two. I can’t wait to put it to use.

I would have to go with the Laguna. Perfect for a long day trip out on beautiful cross country trails. I could pack my camera, lunch and an extra water bottle or two.

Jolla-1100 cubic inches of Snickers and 100 oz. of Dr. Pepper. 'nuff said.

I think I'd go with the Laguna - going to get chilly soon, could use some capacity to carry extra clothing.

Last year for Christmas I got a sweater. Was really hoping for a moaner or a screamer. This could come in handy!

Actually, I have the Soquel. It is a nice, compact, lightweight pack. Bet it weighs half of my Camelbak. My new choice for endurance races where 70 oz fills the bill!

I would choose the Big Sur or Morro...100 oz bladder plus room for more snacks and even an extra bottle or two.

I'm going with the Morro primarily because you have already proven it can hold 6 beers! I'm sure the 100oz bladder and the fancy zipper pockets are good too.
